For March 2007 Guitar Rez pays homage to the ever faithfull,
tried and true, venerable '65 Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp. You may
ask, what's so outstanding about the Deluxe Reverb? What's
amazing about the Deluxe Reverb is that it is the one amplifier

The '65 Deluxe Reverb is the perfect size and power for almost
any style of guitar playing these days. At 42 pounds, it's not too
heavy, and at 22 Watts, it's not too loud..just right! Although
the Deluxe Reverb doesn't have a lot of modern features, what it
does bring to the gig is:
- Reliability: dang near bullet-proof!
- Great Clean Tone: You have to have the clean tone before
anything else can happen.
- Beautiful Reverb Tone: makes playing solo a lot more
enjoyable!
- Plays well with effects pedals: More and more players are getting
away from built in distortions and master volume style amps, and
using pedal boards instead. Often players have two, three or even
four different sounding distortions on the floor. The Deluxe
Reverb is a great choice because it sounds good with a wide variety of
overdrive/distortion pedals.
- Small Size: takes up less room on the bandstand! Takes up less
